About

My name is Sherri and I am the proud owner of Dance Vibes NZ. Born and raised in Melbourne Australia, I began dancing and calisthenics from a young age. By the age of 16, my love of dance lead me to audition for Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance full time course to pursue a career as a professional dancer. The wealth of knowledge, experience and passion that I gained and the dozens of incredible teachers and choreographers I had the priviledge of working with was amazing and has helped to shape the dancer and teacher that I am today.

Upon moving to New Zealand in 2011, I saw a real need for child friendly dance classes in the Bay of Islands. So the following year, I started Dance Central Dance School and taught children’s dance classes in Paihia, Opua and Russell before falling pregnant with my first child.

Since then I have established Dance Vibes NZ in Kerikeri and enjoyed teaching classes for a short time in 2019.

I now have 4 children of my own, aged 7, 5, 3 and 1 and am excited to return to teaching dance in 2021.

Working with children and dancing are my life long passions. I love to teach our tamariki of all ages and abilities how to dance and to inspire a love of movement in our next generation!
